Prison
I wake up
each morning
and bathe.
I get dressed,
eat breakfast
and off I go.
I arrive
at the prison
and start my day.
Each day is
the same as the last
and same as the next.
I walk
from cell
to cell.
I speak
to the guards
and other inmates.
I yearn
to leave,
but I can't.
There is
no escape
from this place.
I have
been sentenced
to prison.
I return
to my home
but I'm not free.
I wake up
the next morning
and bathe.
