"I have hated the words, and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right."-Markus Zusak, in The Book Thief

Sometimes it gets tiring
Seeing the world from 42 inches up
Having to look up to everyone
Except the three year olds

Sometimes it gets irritating
All those looks of pity
Because I know
What they don’t seem to get
That where it counts I’m just like them

And sometimes it feels downright unfair
All these things that I must go through
Because no one considered
How much harder they were making life
For someone who already has to struggle
Just to do the little things

I was born with a disability that made it so I'm not able to walk. This is poem is just how life feels sometimes.
