The seasons have changed and so have we
The colors of leaves upon the trees
The wind that whistles through the grass so green
A sturdy trunk for one to lean
To rest your head and read a book
The trees give shade and a cozy nook
This was the place that was solely ours
The place so far from buildings and cars
The place we ran, like children, through trees
The place our first kiss made me weak in the knees
But now you're gone and this place has changed
Now you're gone and this place feels strange
It’s just not what it used to be
When I was with you and you with me

This is about losing someone that could be a friend or a loved one and attaching them to a certain place and suddenly when they're gone the place is different
