Iron Man
Gold and red, flying across
The golden-red sunset.
Bursts of velocity and power
Accompany him, but he struggles in finding
True acquaintance.
The man who has it all
Merely fits a suit
Taylored to fit his character.
It's just an empty man
Occupying an empty suit,
Just like how his empty emotion
Pollutes his empty heart.
Is the iron suit for protection from evil?
Is it a way to channel god-like powers?
(Or is the iron suit just an escape?)
The armor protects his flesh,
Which helps him protect the world,
But what suit will protect his heart
When he needs it the most?
Ironic, isn't it, that
The world puts its trust in a man
Who is battling to save himself.
