A hearts hop

My heart stops its hop,
The clock stops its tick tock,
The geese leave its flock,
I wonder when did time stop?
My whole world start to rock,
we all stood in shock,
who would not?
For we would not be lost,
I would pay the greatest cost,
For this heart not to stop.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to right this piece after I learned that my mom had cancer and I hope it shows how one thing can make you whole world turn upside down and almost break but you just have to do everything you can to make it write.
