Rays of sun warm my back while
waves from boats pass I
stare at the ocean my
feet sink into sand with
a smile on my face.

I want to Breathe.
I hear waves crash a
slight breeze hits my skin and
my heart begins to race
I close my eyes and inhale.

The ocean
It carries my worries away
I follow the voices of the children playing
What mattered yesterday
no longer matters today.

The sun retires as
I remain alone in my thoughts
I find freedom watching the sunset
my inspiration for wanting to live
The feeling of peace that takes over my body
Tonight, I will breathe.
