Apple Orchard
The green beauties stretch endlessly across the rolling hills
In neat rows that reach the horizon.
Each leaf sculpted with symmetry and detail,
Sways with the gentle wind like a baby in a cradle.
A crimson red apple hangs on every branch.
All the apples laugh as the sun kisses their skin.
A big one catches my eye.
Its skin glistens in the light, showing a big smile.
I pluck the apple from its branch
And sink my teeth deep down.
The sweet sensation tickles my taste buds.
A luscious drop of juice slides down my chin.
Energizing my soul.
