A Broken Heart
A broken heart wants to be mended,
But doesn’t know where to start.
Your hurt feelings must be defended
Because all you have left is a broken heart.
You feel that your world has come to an end;
He said that he would always be a friend.
But you looked at him and said you wanted more
Because how could you be friends when you loved him before.
He looked at you with a tear in his eye,
And you held back with the tears as he said good…..bye.
You went in your room and held his picture close;
Him to be there was what you wanted the most.
You finally get over it and start to feel fine,
But then you see him having a fun time.
He looks at you and gives you a grin;
What can you do: you’re his daughter, you still love him.
A broken heart wants to be mended,
But doesn’t know where to start.
Your hurt feelings must be defended
Because all you have left is a broken heart.
