Darkness
Darkness, darkness, darkness.
In my dreams, I see him;
Looking through the window.
He creeps in, sheltered in black;
His identity unknown.
I know he’s coming,
Still he catches me off guard;
Snatching my throat,
Shaking me like a maraca.
Why?
Am I dreaming, is this real?
I’ve been here before.
My heart beats faster,
My body cold and stiff.
I want to fight back,
But I can’t find the strength.
The lights start to dim,
And my heart starts to slow;
Completely helpless.
My mind is spinning, it fades to black;
I wake up, gasping for air.
I’m all alone, and everything is still.
I just want this dream to end,
I want it all to end.
