Shake The Dust (My Version)
This is for the alarm clock, ticking loudly in your ear, which wakes you up from
a dreamless sleep.
For the grumpy, middle-aged mom that makes sure you’re up.q
For the music that keeps you company on the bus that
none of your friends ride.
Shake the dust.
This is for all the kids who stand in the hallway while you’re trying to get to class.
For the teachers, who looks tried, and sick of people who don’t do their homework.
For the girl who talks to you to death,
For the boy who hits on you,
For the girl who is sad all the time, waiting for that
one boy forever.
Shake the dust.
This is for the old, almost blinded cafeteria workers who take up their whole day
making nasty food.
For the boys who sit by the trashcan.
For the stuck up, snobby girls who think their better than everyone else and
eat outside.
For the lonely beggars, standing and waiting, asking for money everyday.
Shake the dust.
This is for that last class you have at the end of the day.
For the students who constantly looks at the clock.
For the strict, grouchy teacher who yells at the class for being loud.
Shake the dust.
This is for the loud, obnoxious crowd on the bus in the afternoon.
For the kids who gets yelled at everyday and moved to the front of the bus.
This is for the last day of every school week.
For all the dramatic experiences you’ve been through.
Shake the dust.
