She steps out
in a blood red dress
with a mix of orange ruffles
looking like a blazing flame.
Behind her,
a man starts singing
and playing his guitar
to a traditional,
rhythmic Spanish tune.

The dancer stands still,
so straight like a pole,
with all eyes on her
in the middle of the wooden stage.
She begins to feel
the beat of the music and
starts a powerful clapping
and fierce stomping,
resonating throughout the room.

Now!
Passion is spilling out of her
With her lightning-fast footwork
pounding on the wooden floor
and matching to the beat of the music.
The emotional intensity
is felt through the seats
and hypnotic to the eyes.

As the audience is holding their
Breath
To a stunning spectacle
The stomps start to slow down
as the fury turns
to a tenderness with the light touch
of her foot on the floor
and the music
is just a gentle
Beat.

She stretches one arm
To the end of her dress
And grabs it
To sway it in front of her.
Like a spark in the dark,
The wild, striking dancer ignites
the stage,
pouring her heart and soul
for all to feel.

Repeating her loud stomps and
Clapping her hands while
the singer is thrumming his guitar,
She twirls
then halts
as the music stops
and the dance
ends.

This piece is about a Flamenco Dancer I saw when I went to Sevilla, Spain. It is suppose to capture the passion and intensity coming from the dance.
