Echo: The Lost Voice

Echo
Unheard, unseen, mockingbird, naïve.
Daughter of beauty.
Lover of voice.
Who feels heartbreak, loneliness, and the cold.
Who dislikes the goddess of marriage, the cold twisted game of love, and soundless days and nights.
Who fears rejection, lonely nights and days, and not being able to express herself.
Who needs a bandage on her broken heart, her own voice to ring through her ears, and a time machine to go reverse the mischief.
Resident of water.
Echo

This poem was one that I made in response to the Greek Mythology story of Echo and Narcissus.
