The Hourglass
I need some more space
I'm stuck in this world
Waiting for someone
To get me out
The hands are ticking
And I'm still looking
I need someone
To help me out
The hourglasses can't be seen
Only heard by the thoughts
But now it's breaking at the rims
And grains of sand are rushing out
There's no more time left in here
Get ready to forget
How the rest of this works
I'm still inside of this world
Getting ready to tell
All these little things that I know
I’m not ready to forget
About the things that happened
Back when there was something left.
But I need some help
I need to listen
To the whispers of the walls
And the singing of the wind
I like to lay and wonder
What ever happened to me here?
Broken light bulbs going off
Bad ideas blowing up
Memories pouring in
Little raindrops of thoughts
Only a matter of time
Before it turns to dark
It is the spiral I see coming in the corner
Never knowing what it will be
It can be the storm
That allows my time to run out
Never fearing, never knowing
What this will cause
I just have to wait to hear
From my broken hourglass
From the world I call my mind
And the place I call my heart.
