To You
Up in the sky you fly
Fearless and free of disease
Thinking about you brings a tear to my eye
Poised and graceful, soaring with ease
You left me oh so suddenly
But returned in due time
Like a gust of wind you took my breath away
This situation was one of a kind
At the tree top is where you sat
Proudly perched and singing beautifully
Your color, most defined
Arousing many thoughts in my mind
How gorgeous though are
Making the bad day fade away
With the essence of a star
Bringing memories here to stay
Every once and a while you return
I always the one to learn
Whether you will come back, I don't know
But down the river I must row
