I Will Always Remember You
I remember that day very well
So many people came many I didn’t know
People talking about how good of a man he was
Seeing the people I care about most, weeping
Seeing pictures of him with me and other members of my family
Listening to people telling stories about him,
About the memories they had with him.
Hugging everyone in sight
They told me how sorry they were for my loss
They told me he was in a better place
I tried to hold in the tears, but I couldn’t help myself
I could taste the tears streaming down my face
I tried to be strong, but I am still a young girl
You were very special to me
You taught me so many things
I will never forget you Papa
I will always love you.
