A look at Humanity
I look at humanity
and laugh.
I laugh at our theories,
our right and our wrong.
These beings we praise
through word or through song.
I laugh at our feeble attempts
to produce an explanation,
and I accept these silly concepts
with mild exasperation.
I laugh at our arrogance,
our overly confident sneers,
at how we claim to be courageous,
but refuse to face our fears.
I look at humanity
and cry.
I cry for the people
who will never know hope,
who follow hatred blindly
as if their minds were bound with rope.
I cry for the lives
that are wasted with War.
When hatred is extinguished
but still there is more.
I cry for the children
who only know what they've been taught,
who will fight the fights again,
though they’ve already been fought.
I look at humanity
and wonder,
if there really is a way
that anything I could do,
that anything I could say
could somehow change this place?
I wonder
is it really possible
to change the human race?

the best kind of people are the ones that make you feel uncomfortable, in a good way.
