Lollipops and Drugs

Lollipops turn to drugs,
Hugs and kisses turn to sex,
The world is going to hell,
But one girl can't do much,
You pop a pill,
chase it with a drink,
careful now,
try not to sink.
Your body is numb,
your eyes dim down,
I look at you, and begin to frown,
By now your past out on my bed,
I hope to god your not dead,
But then again don't have a clue,
I walk up close and begin to shake you,
Tears drop down on your skin,
My eyes then begin to dim.
When will she stop?
I sit in the corner and begin to rock.
My mother then is a dead girl walking,
I follow behind slowly stalking,
A little girl lost in the world,
She closes her eyes and begins to twirl,
She waits for her dreams,
To one day give her wings.

This is about my meth addicted mother, who I was never enough for her to give it up. I have been away from her for 3 years now, and find myself writing about it a lot. Writing is a healthy way to cope.
