I wake up and dress like, you'll see me,
Get ready, try to look my best, like you'll see me.
Then, I sit on the edge of my bed and cry,
Because I remember you're gone.

Try to smile at everyone, like you'll see me,
Try to be a stand up lassie, like you'll see me.
All the while remembering,
You're probably asleep by now.

I sit at a desk and bat my lashes, like you'll see me,
Try to make you jealous, like you'll see me.
I picture you by my side,
And then I try my hardest not to cry in front of them.

I ride home and look out the window, like you'll see me.
I walk around this cursed ground, like you'll see me.
Soaking up all the things I see,
And wishing you could be here to see them with me.

I lie on the floor, staring at the ceiling for hours, like you'll see me.
I cry and scream for summer, like you'll see me.
Then, at that time, everyday, it hits me:
You're an ocean away and I'm glued to this place.

I stare at all the screens, like you'll see me.
I curse you when you don't call, like you'll see me.
You can see why I get worse every day,
I loathe everything that isn't part of your world.

I turn out the lights and fall asleep, like you'll see me;
Look at the moon, that is now your sun, like you'll see me.
I curse our separate worlds,
I just want to be happy with you.
They mock me.
I'm sorry for what I did.
