Poised and perched upon a stage amid the grassy expanse,
She prances before her empty audience
-Defiant and peculiar.
A dark mask and a few floppy feathers free her mind from the limitations of their world,
A simple means of escapism- a path to a grander world.
Innocent creativity paints to life the realm:
The enchanted audience, the soft buzzing music, the sights, the sounds, The gentle crackle in the air.
Their grassy expanse melts away,
And her mysterious world fades to life.
Here, rules and limitations blow away like whispers in the wind.
Here, reality is a myth.
In this world, she needn't fear a thing.
Glowing wings distort the inky night around the lone girl,
As silver moths of pure imagination gather near her.
The moon begins to sink as time draws on,
And a single moth sinks to the ground, dim and lifeless.
