Respect must be given for no cost
like our good memories that can't be lost
Respect is not just for Y O U but for me
like faithful married couples do you remember how we used to be?
Respect must be earned and not command
like my trust when you offered me your hand
Respect is what you find hard to understand
like my tears when you brought her on our land
Respect is so bitter yet sweet
like trying so hard when only feeling defeat
Respect is like love so beautiful yet cold
like my heart that you stole
& the lies that you told.
