What Is It

It hurts to remember why it hurts.
It’s so clear yet hard to write.
It’s nothing but everything I am.
It‘s what makes me different.
Also what makes us all identical.
It is what makes me change while keeping me the same
It’s the cause of both joy and sadness.
It is a hand to push me forward,
But it’s also a foot to trip me up.
It’s me.
