A Happier Place Than Here MAG
My happy place
 Is between two horizontal lines
 Between every black letter
And every stroke of my pen
 Between every breath
As words form in my lungs
 My lips taking their shape
Before they float away into the vast empty silence around me

 My happy place
Is griping a pen until my fingers are purple and sore
Ink smudges on my cheeks from where I rested my head
 Heavy with words

 My happy place
Is a stomach ache late at night
 Begging me to write
Because my body can't contain these words
 And they must break free

 My happy place is alone
 With my red leather notebook
Watching the world go around, waiting
For the empty spaces my words will fill
