Hidden in the Darkness

As the light shines all
Is visible to the naked eye.
Slowly brightness fades
Out as bleakness falls in.

Not much is known in regards to what lurks
In the darkness.
Some say vile creatures,
Others say detestable vermin.

Then there are few who say they've
Been in the darkness:
Those few who claim they were possessed
By the darkness.

But i know from experience that
Upon entering the darkness,
There is no clear way out
Of the darkness.
