Meaningless Wishes
He uses it to his advantage,
He thinks it’s just a joke.
When will he stop playing games?
‘Cause now my heart’s just broke.
Loving him’s unbearable,
But I can’t let it go.
Wonder if he thinks about me,
Guess I’ll just never know.
I hate his clammy hands,
Though I love his warm embrace.
Can’t wait until the day,
I see the look upon his face.
I know that he’ll be sorry,
I know that he’ll regret,
Pretending we had nothing.
My energy is spent.
Someday he’ll sit there questioning,
Why he thought it all a joke.
But it won’t matter anyway,
‘Cause now my heart is broke.
