always waiting MAG

the world
was waiting
for something,
caught in that silence
before the storm.
the whole world,
waiting.
and he said,
“let's do something rebellious.”
and i said,
“let's climb a mountain
and watch the stars shine.”
and then we laughed
at the absurdity
of our words,
pushing the thoughts away
and walking back
to where we were
supposed to be.
and i said,
“some other time?”
and he nodded.
