Rumbling footsteps.
A group of men in identical clothing
Exiting the gate.
Searching, finally finding
That one familiar face.
Lips slightly parted.
Bright brown eyes,
Stained by the pains
Of war.
Dainty hands firmly
Grabbing the torn
Camouflage uniform.
Army strong arms
Lifting her off the
Hard ground.
Just like that,
It was all over.
He was home;
Her soldier was home.
