Ever Since Summer
Ever since summer, you’ve been on my mind
And every time we converse, I lose track of time
It feels as if you’re in there and never came out
Like a fish out of water, I am without
We argue daily; still no sign of a winner
And every time we finish arguing I’m overwhelmed with quilt like a dirty sinner
But for your lack of trust, I don’t blame you
It’s been rough for what you’ve been through
Ever since summer you freed me of loneliness
Your smile so great, it fills me with enjoyment
It’s been a pleasure, to have known you the way I do
Even if it isn’t forever, I’ll still stay with you
Ever since summer, you've helped me grow
Like a tree in need of water I was without
Even though you had your moments, of doubt
You’re still the, one I always think about
