&quot;I want freedom for the full expression of my personality&quot;<br /> -Mahatma Gandhi

My words of Steel
My heartened tongue
Who's words are sealed
No words come from.

Your softened step
Upon my heart
Leaves pinpricks keep
Stalling my start.

Gonna deepen those cuts
Gonna isolate my mouth
Get better, my a**
Why whisper, let's shout.

Pity looks from strangers
Advice from friends
Just can't say sorry
Wanna make amends

Taking viper venom
No lie to tell
It's me they fight
That's why they fell.

Oh,their smell
My shirts too tight
Bothersome wounds
Don't feel so right

My hands are cement blocks
My knees are jelly
Cardiac Arrest
Butt'rflies in my belly

Fallen soldier
One bullet kept
No letter home
His family wept.

Pain killer on the market
Knifes on display
Beggar on my doorstep
Who won't go away.

B**** won't give up her game
Stories old, it's all the same
She doesn't know my name
Still I took the blame
So much shame.

This was definitely free verse! :) I understand when people read this, they might think, "Oh, I don't know what she is trying to say in her poem" and that's okay. I only write poems for myself usually because I'm the only one that gets them, but if you want to give me advice, feel free! Just not too harsh, I'm kind of sensitive about this stuff :) This piece is about some girls struggles to look perfect, get skinnier, or just who hate how they look from my perspective.
