Differnt Sides of Me
She looks into the mirror
Wondering what she sees
Is it her
Or
Is it me?
We are no longer sure
Which is which?
We share a body
And a heart
But as days go by
I move further in
And let her take over
She is strong
I am weak
She is beauty
I am the beast
She laughs
I cry
She’s wild
She’s free
I’m tame
I’m caged
I watch her bring the pain in
On her arms and on her soul
I know I should speak up
Become happy
But I’m to tired to live
I watch her move
From man to man
Watch her try different things
I watch her loose
All control
But still be wildly beautiful
I watch my demons
Face her
And I watch them turn to run
She fights them off
With skin
To blade
With drink to lips
A smoke to lungs
She’s not afraid to die
She welcomes death into her home
Who is she?
Why is she here?
She's me
But she isn’t
