She was a soccer player,
says the dusty soccer ball.
She was a reader,
says the overflowing bookshelf.
She was a dancer,
says the black dancing shoes.
Something went terribly wrong,
says the ripped blue skinny jeans
laying on the floor.
Something went wrong,
says the tissue with tears.
Something went wrong,
says the empty bottles of sleeping pills.
It will get better,
says the huggable brown teddy bear on the bed.
It will get better,
says the guitar inside its black case.
It will get better,
says the marble tombstone with her name engraved.
