Standing under blackened skies with nothing above, we never wanted this ocean between us.
Yet here we are, living in an upside down kingdom, forsaken with this plague
Condemned to never know the answer, I will always wonder why, a wrath was brought upon us.

We did not provoke the beast before us, nor did we anger the gods up in the sky.
As days turned to night, we went on with our lives, unpronounced to the actions of a few.
The actions that brought a nation to its knees, a nation once believed to be invincible by all other.

From the base of the mountains to the peaks of the sky, no place is safe enough for us to hide.
The weight of three hundred million souls comes crashing down upon us with the rise of the sun.
Desert sand that were once a golden brown now run dark red, as they comfort the dead.

We watch our children run amongst you in the streets, calling out your names with voices full of joy. You work to win our hearts and minds over through our children, knowing that they are the key to success. Yet we know that to associate with you would bring death, death to us all.

Eleven years gone by you still work to find the man responsible, responsible for harming your pride. Your pride has brought you to the edge of darkness and opened up a gate of hatred, hatred against the innocent and the young.

When will you let the go of the hatred?
