Hurricane Sandy
Countless summers spent at the shore,
Loving life, more and more.
Many memories were made every day,
Underneath the sun’s golden rays.
But once the storm came up the coast
Some people stayed, but not most.
It was rumored to be the worst in history
The storm of storms; Hurricane Sandy.
The waves surged up past the dunes,
Water rushed into the households.
The tragedy would end no time soon,
As Mother Nature tightened her hold.
People were stranded for many days,
Without power or gasoline, it turned into a craze.
Many trees fell down and houses lost
But we will rebuild no matter the cost.
