Loss, Hope
The long, drawn out suffering
Of grief and its counterparts
Not a very pleasant experience.
No consultant, guide, to help walk through
The staggering challenges ahead.
Pressure builds like a bomb
“Everyone is counting on you”
Come out to show them who can fight
People whispering their lives into whatever they can
Listening to the eternal mechanisms
Of life. It is difficult to be an artisan of bravery
When your guide, your mentor, is forever lost.
Echoes of the past creep in, never leave.
Alluding to the banter and baubles of days past
So long ago, when things were so simple.
The orchestras are long gone, but hopefully
You shall give me strength from beyond
As I struggle with the tasks at hand.
I press onward, reaching to accept the unfortunate fact
That you are gone, and can no longer be here.
Fictitious shams of drudgery cover the land.
Denmark: home to old belongings and monsters
Shall it change?
Shall we change?
