My Hero
I have a hero.
His name is You.
The one who stood up for me,
The one who fought for freedom,
The one who was always in the background,
Stopping wars before they happened.
You is my friend.
The friend I never had,
The friend who invented a cure,
The friend that made life better for us all,
Through their own struggles.
My friend is all,
The people who died that everyone might have liberty.
The people who sought freedom in a small way,
And found liberty in a place where it was abundant.
The people who saw a change they could make,
And took the chance.
All the people who,
Sought,
Discovered,
Fought,
And died,
That all might have freedom,
They are my Hero.
