Never put a question mark where God has put a period.

As far back as I remember the one constant in my life,
has always been your love through happiness and strife.

Whenever I have stumbled you were there to break my fall,
and in return you never asked for anything at all.

Whenever I was lost, you helped me find my way,
the love I feel for you mere words could never say.

You taught me how to love and laugh and how to learn and grow,
and for this I am thankful and I wanted you to know.

You chased away my nightmares so that I could sleep,
I can't imagine life without you, you're my strength when I am weak.

You've shown me the kind of person that I would like to be,
and all because throughout my life you never stopped loving me.

There's no way I can repay you for everything you do,
all I can do is thank the lord I have a Mom like you!

Before my mom died of cancer I wrote her this poem. I wasn't sure if she was going to live or die but I wanted it to be clear that I loved her. Even though she was in a vegetative state I read her this poem and I know she heard it.
