The Cathedral
Gliding across
 I see it
 The cathedral
A statue that has stood the test of time
 For decades
It’s only a small monument to the love
 And dedication shown
 In its walls
 It seems to radiate
 Peace and safety
 I see the suffering souls
 Looking for peace
 And finding it
 The joy in their hearts
 When they find it
 When they find love
In the walls of the cathedral
 Some look at the glass
 And see a cave
 They see chains
But my eyes see my freedom
I see my savior looking at me
And I know I’m bought for a price
 One I will pay
 One that has rescued me
 From eternal punishment
 Instead of being free
Instead of feeling my current joy
 I would be forever condemned
 Forever lost
 Forever chained
 I can’t live with that
 I have to be free
But either way I’m chained by losing my soul
 To either fire and pain
 Or to peace and love
 Those are my options
And I have chosen to give my soul to
 Peace and love
 And I’m glad I did
 I approve of my sacrifice
