Home Sweet Home
11 hours right?
That’s the length of the flight.
Long hours of boredom,
Restless and in need of freedom.
Then come the last twenty minutes…
The pilot announces that we’re landing
And with excitement my heart is pounding
For I will be home in LA
Today truly is my happiest day.
When I step out of LAX airport
I’m surrounded by those who will always offer love and support.
Then we get into the car and start to drive
wondering if we’ll take Olympic or the 405.
And when we’re finally going up the hill
In my heart I feel a secret thrill.
We run up the stairs like we’re in a race
And land into the house’s warm embrace.
