Hating Mirrors
I pass by the dirty mirror,
 covered in post-its and lipstick,
and I can't help but see myself as weighty, useless, and alone.

 I pass by people,
staring and pointing out every flaw of mine,
and I can't help but let tears fall,
 weighty, useless, and alone.

 I pass by my friends,
pleading and begging me to try,
and I can't help but ignore my plate,
 weighty, useless, and alone.

 I pass by my family,
crying and urging me to stop,
and I can't help but listen to my growling stomach,
 and take a bite.
