Black and Gold
Andrew Ference has the puck
“To Krejci” he passes the blue line
The dark jersey flashes through the Bolt’s pale uniforms,
As a graceful cheetah runs across the plains.
His stick slides back with the utter most subtlety
“Took his pass” the puck bolts through the competitors,
Then lands on Horton’s blade
Like an angel sent from heaven
He taps it in like it was any other shot
“Shoots... SCORES!”
