Love is not a physical change.
I love you wholeheartedly,
Yet I stay the same.
It's irreversible.
It's chemical.
I cannot "unlove" you.
The butterflies in my stomach
will not retreat.
These feelings I've pushed aside
Lie waiting for a moment to
Creep in and remind me of you.
I need strength to help me move on,
For God has showed me right from wrong.
My only excuse, it's one we all use
"I guess they were right, it's chemistry, baby."
