more than ice cream...

the smell of an old book on a crisp fall day
curled up by the oak tree
knee deep in autumnal leaves
first bite of home-baked banana bread
oozing melted hershey’s kisses
and the satisfying crunch of aged walnuts
currying his soft flank
watching muscles ripple through his equine frame
a thousand pounds, tamed before me
soft paneer and spicy curry
wrapped in a pillow of buttery bread
mouth watering just by describing it
