Tears
Sadness
 Always there
 Cutting off my other emotions
 And senses
 So I can't process
 Anything else
It has been there for so long now
I don't think it will ever leave

 I know why it's there
And I know that I caused it
 But no matter
 What I do
 What I say
 It will not go away
 It only stays there
 Leeching every other sensation
 Away from me
 And leaving me
 An empty shell

 I begin to cry
 again
 the sobs
 wracking my body
 back and forth
 back and forth

 The tears fall
 As rain does
What do tears fall just as rain
 But leave our hearts
 With a different cry?

 The question
goes round and round in my head
 And remains there
As I cry myself to sleep

Why do tears fall just as rain
 But leave our hearts
 With a different cry?
 Why?
