The Earth

The wind blows my hair.
Softly, against my cheeks and neck.
I lift my face.
Blue eyes meet blue sky.
I lay back against the soft carpet
And run my hands through the grass.
What is this earth—
The dirt, rocks, grass sky –
But dreams, and hope.
What is it made of,
But love.
