White
an outcast shining so bright
Like a star in a river of black
A lost soul sits at the bar
Numbing its pain with drink
Scars are embedded into its soul
like blades on the rink
It’s
searching for new ice
to start over its life
with a fresh role of the dice
Mouths
gaping for money
to fill its tummy
with food of success
Shedding clothes to become vulnerable and nude
Revealing the true color of its skin
Sharing its lies with kin
who share the same river of blood,
A tube full of secrets overflowing into tears of pain
Beer taps flow
As mourners go
To a party
where the dress code is all black with a tear
