Vindication
Can't you see it
 The tears I hide
 When you're looking away
 The quiver in my voice
 Shaking me through my skin
All as simple as to please you
 The one who set
 My standards out of reach
 Who expects
 More than I can give
 My hurt means
 When the power lies
 In your hands
The ones I thought I knew
 The ones that try
 And suffocate me so
 What happened to you?
 Has greed blocked
 Your view of the whole
 Picture?
 Or was it all
 Just lies and
 Deception?
 But the truth is,
 No matter how
 Many times
 You beat me against
 The wall
 Or how many times
 You laugh as I bleed,
 I forgive you
