Where I'm From
I am from the house daddy built,
 From the lonesome hill
 In the middle of nowhere.

I am from bruises and scraped knees,
 From great outdoor adventures
 To dollhouses and bicycles.

I am from being competitive with my sisters
 From declaring they cheated
 And tattling.

I am from stupid dares and lame pranks
 From made up games
 And corny jokes.

 I am from matted hair
 From untied shoes
 To hammy downs.

 I am from dreaming big
From when I believed in everything
When I thought life was magical.

I am from door slamming and screaming
 From picking fights to arguing
From saying exactly what I think.

I am from the feeling of disbelief
 To sadness, happiness
 And everything in between

I am from always having someone to annoy
 From having my sisters back
 And constantly a good laugh.

This is where I am from.
