Half of me is cheering, “HIP HIP HORAY! School’s out for summer.”
I can finally go on a family vacation
To an exotic location.
Now I’m only one summer away from high school
But right now I’m going to relax and stay cool.
The other half is saying, “What a bummer.”
When I think of my friends that I’m leaving behind
I don’t have a good state of mind.
I always thought they would be fine
And that we would all move to the big nine.
I will never forget the people we left behind.
