It hurts to know
That you’ll never be first
In someone’s heart
Even if they say they like you back
Because there will always be some
Other girl
Sitting there
In that first spot
Mocking you
And making sure
That you know
You’re not first
Even if he says they are just friends
Because I can see the way he looks at her
And it makes me realize
That I’ll never be that person
