A wicked wind touches,
slowly burning nose and lips.
A warm hand moves to cover
and the footsteps crunch.
And the footsteps still crunch.


The author's comments:
If somebody has ever dealt with walking without a face mask on a cold and windy day (no need for it to be dark or stormy), then it is easy for them to relate to this. I hope for people to get the shortness of it, because your face becomes numb way to quick. But yet with the last two lines to get the meaning that there is a sense of eternity.
