The Artists, The Scribes
Bear witness to the broken lives
And shattered stories of your lost kin,
 The souls of those gone
Still cry out in silent agony
For the solace of a few messengers
Who can bear them the gift
Of sharing their blood soaked tragedies
So that the world does not follow them down.
 You and I,
With our words and songs and pictures,
Are but two of the scribes who work in endless loyalty
For the victims of plagues as
 Continuously ignored
 As we ourselves are.
